ကာကွယ်ရေးပစ္စည်းစက်ရုံ (KaPaSa — Defense Production Factory): Myanmar's KaPaSa network consists of 25 factories under the Directorate of Defence Industries (DDI), deliberately positioned in central Myanmar along the Irrawaddy River's western bank for strategic isolation and river transportation logistics. KaPaSa-6 serves as the primary raw-materials supplier for the entire network. Security is strict — workers may not carry phones, facilities are surrounded by armed perimeters, and family housing is provided on-site to limit external contact. KaPaSa-21 benefits from seven years of Chinese technical collaboration in aerial-bomb and cluster-munitions production. KaPaSa-23 and KaPaSa-25 remain under construction and not yet operational per SAC reporting. The three Heavy Industry facilities near Meiktila (Mandalay Region) produce vehicles, armoured platforms, and UAV/drone components. ⚠ Data sourced from Myanmar Now (2022) and Special Advisory Council for Myanmar.
